Elementor to Gutenberg

Elementor to Gutenberg, page by page.

Elementor got a lot of sites built quickly. Years later, many of those sites carry a heavy builder, a Pro license, a stack of add-on plugins, and pages that only render while Elementor is active.

We rebuild Elementor sites on the WordPress block editor: native blocks, a small set of custom patterns, and nothing your editors need a builder license for. We also maintain Elementor Pro sites day to day, so we know what they do well, and where they cost you.

Why teams make this move

Page weight.

Builder CSS, JavaScript and nested containers on every page.

Plugin sprawl.

Add-on packs for widgets that the block editor now covers.

Renewals and updates.

Pro licenses, major version changes and add-ons that must stay in step.

What moves, what gets rebuilt, what stays behind

Moves across

Comes across as it is

  • Every page and post, same URL
  • Text, images, links, headings
  • SEO plugin settings
  • Menus, media, WooCommerce data
Gets rebuilt

Built again on the new platform

  • Layouts, as blocks and patterns
  • Theme Builder headers, footers and templates
  • Elementor forms, as a form plugin
  • Popups, only where they earn their place
Stays behind

Left on the old platform

  • Elementor and Elementor Pro
  • Elementor add-on plugins
  • Elementor’s saved layout data
  • Global widgets and kits

Elementor keeps its layout in its own data, separate from the normal page content. That is why switching it off leaves pages broken or empty, and why the move is a rebuild, not an export.

How we run it

  1. 01Inventory pages and templates, including Theme Builder conditions and popups most people forget exist.
  2. 02List every formand where its entries go: email, CRM, spreadsheet.
  3. 03Build a block libraryfrom your recurring sections.
  4. 04Rebuild templates, then pages,highest-traffic first, compared side by side.
  5. 05Move formsto a form plugin and send test entries end to end.
  6. 06Measure Core Web Vitalsbefore and after, template by template.
  7. 07Deactivate Elementor on staging first, check every URL, then launch.

Where this usually goes wrong

Forms stop sending leads

because the new form was never tested against the CRM.

Popups and Theme Builder conditions

vanish without anyone noticing.

WooCommerce templates built in Elementor.

Product and cart pages need their own rebuild plan.

Old posts built in Elementor

show up blank after the switch.

What we won’t promise

That every Elementor animation will come across. We keep what helps and drop what slows the page.

Frequently asked questions

Gutenberg or Kadence?+

Either works. Native Gutenberg has the fewest dependencies. Kadence gives editors more layout controls. See Divi to Gutenberg or Kadence for the comparison.

Can we do it gradually?+

Yes. Elementor and the block editor can run side by side, so we can move templates and key pages first, then the rest.

Will our URLs change?+

No. Only the theme and the page markup change.

What about our WooCommerce store?+

Product data is untouched. Only templates built in Elementor are rebuilt.

Ready to move off Elementor?

Send your site URL. We will look at your templates and tell you what the rebuild involves before you commit.
